Some Of Our Initiatives
1. Sickle Cell Warrior Support
In 2020, amidst the global challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation collaborated with the Sickle Cell Aid Foundation (SCAF) to provide essential raw food and medication to sickle cell warriors in Enugu State, Nigeria.
Through the generous support of our donors, we offered vital support and assistance during a time of unprecedented uncertainty. Our collaborative efforts helped to alleviate the burdens faced by individuals and families grappling with the dual challenges of sickle cell disease and the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a ray of hope and comfort in the midst of adversity.
2. Pandemic Relief Efforts
Amidst the pandemic, the Foundation, with the generous contributions of private donors, assembled food, beverage, and wellness items for distribution to vulnerable individuals and families in local communities across Enugu State, Nigeria. Additionally, our charitable outreach extended to the Mgbidi community, where we provided essential supplies, including food items, clothing, and educational materials to families in need. This outreach program aimed to improve the quality of life for residents, particularly children, and ensure they had the resources necessary to thrive. Through the dedicated efforts of our outreach officers and facility manager, these items were effectively distributed to provide crucial support to those in dire need.
3. Flood Relief in Abaegbu Umuoba Anam
In 2022, the Abaegbu Umuoba Anam community in Anambra West Nigeria was devastated by floods, resulting in the loss of cassava crops, a vital source of sustenance and livelihood. The Foundation responded by providing cassava stem bundles to enable the flood victims to grow food, generate income, and support their families. The community, led by Mr. Sylvester Nnaluo and supported by local leaders, expressed profound gratitude for the timely assistance, which came at a critical time of need.
4. Children’s Day Celebration
To commemorate Children’s Day in 2023, the Foundation’s Head of Legal, Research, and Impact, Barrister Ruth Soronnadi, visited the Enugu State Government Children’s Home (FSP) Medical Center and made gift donations. Mrs. Modesta Nnaji, representing the Honorable Commissioner of the Ministry of Gender and Social Development, received the donations on behalf of the home. The staff of the Enugu State Government Children’s Home expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Foundation for its ongoing support and commitment to the welfare of the children.
