The foundation will organise annual memorial lecture with the aim of bringing together intellectuals in academia, bar, bench and politics to discuss current and present challenges in the legal system. The first annual lecture and book presentation will be held on Friday, September 27th 2019 at Hon. Justice I.A Umezulike Auditorium, High Court of Justice. Enugu State. Nigeria.

Justice Innocent Umezulike: A Chronicle of Leading Judgment is a three-part volume book offering in-depth analysis of the landmark judgments of an intellectual giant and one of Africa’s most prolific writer on land and property law. This book chronicles a meticulous and comprehensive selection of notable cases spanning from Hon. Justice Umezulike’s stellar career on the bench. A judicial activist, Hon Justice Umezulike, therefore, utilized the law for its real purpose in the interests of fairness and justice. His Lordship showed panache for not strictly adhering to precedent and ensured that his incisive Judgments foreshadowed the move towards moulding the law to suit changing times and circumstances. Readers will therefore be immersed in the perspicacious interpretation of law, which depicts Hon. Justice Umezulike’s brilliance in the application and mastery of the law.
